The Faculty of Paramedical Sciences in Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences was approved and established to educate students working in the paramedical groups as the fifth faculty in 2008. Before establishing this faculty, students were trained in laboratory sciences, radiology, anesthesia and emergency medicine in associate-degree at the faculty of medicine. At the same time as the establishment, the faculty enrolled in accepting undergraduate students in radiology, anesthesia and emergency medical science. Also, from the second half of the academic year of 2009, it also succeeded in setting up and accepting students in undergraduate radiotherapy. A discontinuous bachelor of emergency medical emergencies was added to other majors of the school, and began to recruit and educate students at this stage in 2011. It should be noted that at the moment all necessary measures (including the provision of infrastructure and the formulation of educational programs), as well as correspondence with the Ministry of the health have been carried out for admission of the continuous undergraduate student of medical emergencies; and we hope this important task be executed.
